With the holidays approaching, thousands of people across the nation are especially in need of support. On Nov. 4, 2 Chainz took over Puffer Red’s, a popular sneaker store in Ypsilanti, Mich., to gather canned goods for both the SOS Food Pantry and Food Gatherers of Michigan. The “B.O.A.T.S. II”-rapper signed autographs for each person who donated two or more cans at this #2CansFor2Chainz event.

We anticipate hearing more good news from 2 Chainz in the months; in an interview with Detroit’s HOT 107.5, as reported by HipHop DX, he spoke about the impending charity efforts of his recently launched TRU Foundation:

“I got some events coming up on Thanksgiving as well as Christmas. So, when you get blessed like I have the last year or two, you have to figure out some kind of way to give back.”
