Strike 4 Hunger “Ten 4 Ten” to Benefit Atlanta Food Bank

Saturday November 14th, Samuel Media presents “STRIKE 4 HUNGER” at The Dolce/Ten Pin Alley in Atlantic Station to benefit the Atlanta Food Bank.  Featured Music by DJ Judgemental.

Every strike bowled between 9 PM to 10 PM, 10 canned goods will be donated to the Atlanta Food Community Bank.

ACFB supports a wide range of people in need, from children to the working poor. Food pantries, community kitchens, childcare centers, night shelters and senior centers are among the agencies that receive product from the Food Bank and provide food and other critical resources for low-income Georgians who suffer from hunger and food insecurity. The Food Bank also operates several community projects to aid our agencies in community building, technical assistance and advocacy efforts.

The Pink Party: “A Celebration of Survivorship”


This community event will celebrate breast cancer survivors, build awareness of breast cancer, educate about breast cancer, emphasize the importance of early detection and raise money for breast cancer programs and research.

Kids for King Education Initiative

To the Kids of America from the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial Project Foundation: As part of our effort to build the Memorial, beginning August 25, 2009 we invite you to be a part of history by participating in our Kids for King Education Initiative. It’s easy to enter. Just write an essay, create a piece of art, or produce a short video expressing what you have learned about Dr. King’s ideals of Democracy, Justice, Love and Hope as well as how you plan to carry the legacy forward.Mark your calendar for August 25, 2009 to visit to participate. If your essay, art, or video entry is selected, you will be recognized on a trip to Washington, D.C. accompanied by your legal guardian in the fall of 2010.

Free All-Star Football Camp

NFL brothers and Washington, DC natives Vernon and Vontae Davis are teaming up to host a Free All-Star Football Camp For Youth ages 8 to 18

WHO: Vernon Davis, former University of Maryland Terrapin and #85 for the San Francisco 49ers, along with his brother Vontae, from the University of Illinois and 2009 1st round draft pick #24 for the Miami Dolphins. Vontae & Vernon Davis are the third brothers to be first round draft picks, after the Mannings (Peyton and Eli) and the McDougles (Jerome and Stockar).
