The Frank Ski Kids Foundation embraces youth and their value by showing examples and providing hands-on opportunities to promote optimal growth, self-expression, ingenuity, achievement and learning vital to their ambitions.

Through the efforts of the Foundation and the help of charitable contributors, observable differences in communities have been made. Our efforts to date have helped many children, but the needs of our children remain immense. We must continue with unfaltering determination and dedication.

Some of the programs provided by the Frank Ski Foundation include an annual Space Camp, Kids Week , Planet Green: ECO Contest and Frank Ski Kids Foundation Annual Youth Bowl.

SPACE CAMP:

Each year in July, the Foundation organizes a science competition for children ages 9-11 or 12-14. Entrants are required to create a project or prepare a submission on an assigned topic or theme. The competition calls for logic and common sense, as well as imagination.

Ten winners are selected from the entrants to travel to the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama to attend a 6-day Space Camp or Space Academy program.

The winners receive round-trip transportation via private coach, accommodations, registration, activities, materials, fees, meals and prizes courtesy of the Frank Ski Kids Foundation.

KIDS WEEK:

Now in its eighth year, the Frank Ski Kids Foundation continually aims to expose children to their future. Kids Week is a week of live broadcasts from locations dedicated to children. Each day is packed with excitement and filled with activities to entertain children of all ages. With the generosity of corporate sponsorship and personal contributions, the Foundation provides children living in and around metro Atlanta with safe, educational and irresistible fun.

YOUTH BOWL:

This is only competition of its kind in the southeast region. Thousands of kids practice and play with determination throughout their park/recreation program season to qualify for the opportunity to be selected as one of the four teams advancing to the Frank Ski Kids Foundation Annual Youth Bowl. In order to be considered, a team must meet the age-weight requirements set, win its respective league championship and only experienced one loss during its regular season. After all qualifying teams are examined, the selection is narrowed to four. Those four advance and challenge each other in the playoffs. Two teams are eliminated and the remaining two advance and headline the championship game.

Youth Bowl provides vital financial support to parks and recreation programs serving children throughout the Atlanta Metropolitan area. Participation in these programs provides valuable life and social skill development.
