According to Global Grind in July 2014, over 1,000 guests gathered to support Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation’s 15th Annual Art For Life event. Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation (RPAF) was founded by brothers Danny, Russell, and Joseph “Rev Run” Simmons. RPAF is dedicated to providing inner city youth across NYC with significant exposure to the arts, as well as supporting emerging artists with exhibition opportunities. The star-studded celebration of art takes place in the Hamptons. Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Georgina Bloomberg, Valentino D. Carlotti, Kimora Lee Simmons, and many others were honored for their gracious donations. There were also performances by Doug E. Fresh, Kurtis Blow, and Naughty By Nature. With all of this support they were able to raise $1.3 million dollars and counting!
