Who You Wit? REEC & PAY’s Celebrity Basketball Game

Hot 107.9 FM host, Reec “Mr. Who You Wit?” is heard on the airwaves throughout Atlanta, GA. Reec has achieved many accolades within the community. He has excelled in sports, released two music singles and is the author of a children’s book series. Reec has been honored and awarded for his hard work, community response/outreach and appreciation/service, via his non-profit organization: PAY USA.

Positive American Youth (PAY), established in 1997 brings our youth hope, with goals placed to help children make better choices. PAY promotes education, physical fitness and shares steps to being successful in life and business. PAY USA hosts fund raising events: fitness camps for elementary to high school children, as well as, back to school drives. Ice The Bull (Anti-Bullying mascot) tours schools to advocate anti-bullying via literacy. Reec is doing positive things throughout the city to help build a strong community. Who You Wit?


August 3rd, Reec and Hot 107.9 host PAY’s 3rd Annual Back To School Celebrity Basketball Game. Hot 107.9 Hostshots vs Spartans, was held at The Andrew & Walter Young YMCA. The semi-pro, charity basketball game was a huge success. There were performances by: Jungle Boogie Dance Crew, D’ Squared, Gotta Dance Atlanta, Nikisha Williams, and many more. Celebrities included: The Jackson’s, Danny Glover, Quinton Aaron, Loman Rucker, Kelsey Nykole, and many more. All proceeds benefit non profit PAY USA and an assortment of other non profit organizations.

Joakim Noah & Chicago Center Focus On #PEACE

Chicago Bulls center, Joakim Noah #13 has a goal and mission of his own. March 2014, Joakim’s, Noah’s Arc Foundation (NAF), hosted a Peace Tournament in Chicago. Joakim teamed up with family, fellow teammates, community leaders and religious counsel to help rebound Chicago streets of gang activity, violence, and poverty. Chicago city’s West and South sides united for a one day basketball tournament to promote peace. Joakim and friends came together to coach the successful event. Following the Peace Tournament, a discussion among the participants involved a lesson on the accomplishment of the event and revelation of each players concerns for their community. Noah’s Arc Foundation (NAF), works to develop a strong sense of self in all children via art and sports programs. Co-Founder of NAF and mother of Joakim, Cecilia Rodhe heads the art program, “Expressions From The Inside”. The children create artwork that help to express feelings and create original designs. Joakim heads the sports program portion of NAF, helping coach and mentor basketball games. Through these games children learn life lessons in discipline and teamwork. Click Here For Official Video
