Such was the tone of the Maybach Music aficionado after a visit to Southern Crescent Habitat for Humanity (SCHFH) in Fayetteville, GA this past weekend. Ross popped in for a surprise visit wanting to get involved in the county in which he resides. SCHFH works to provide opportunities for low-income families. Homeowner education and financial literacy are just a few of the tools that SCHFH equips their families with.

We truly have to commend his charitable contributions in an era where “throwing money at the problem” has become the norm. Although Ross is not an Atlanta native, it is refreshing to see him take such a hands on approach to his new home and give back to the community.

Freddie Gibbs Gives Back with School Supply Drive











Freddie Gibbs, the midwest reality rhyme-spitter has created a GoFundMe drive to raise $3000 for school’s in his hometown of Gary, Indiana.  The campaign which began on May 25th has already raised $2,600 of the $3,000 goal for school supplies.

Hip Hop Gives Back & I Am Classic Hip Hop Thanksgiving Fundraiser: Feed-A-Family 2014

For the second year, Hip Hop Gives Back and I Am Classic Hip Hop is back with “Feed-A-Family for Thanksgiving 2014.  Feed-A-Family is a give back initiative that aims to provide Thanksgiving dinner for a family in need this November.  #HHGB and partners with the Atlanta Boys & Girls Club to identify the family in need and work together to deliver a memorable meal and holiday!  The fundraiser begins today, Thursday Nov 13th thru Saturday November 22nd, we will launch an online campaign to collect as many donations as possible and also collect donations in person at Savage Fam’s Freestyle Experiment taking place November 18th at Apache Cafe.  The goal is to raise funds to provide Thanksgiving dinner for at least three area Atlanta families!  With the combined efforts of the Hip Hop community, businesses, organizations and sponsors we will collaborate with to make this a successful mission and holiday season!

Put together in less than 2 weeks and we manage to prep over 800 lunches!! The prepped lunches were then taken to nearby shelters to feed the homeless. Cant wait for the next one!!!
